Committees

Committee: A group of CLI members tasked with one or more goals to support the mission of CLI. A Committee is created by the CLI Board of Directors until the Board decides to end, rename, or restructure the Committee.

In 2025, the CLI Board of Directors implemented a restructuring of the then existing Committees and Task Forces into two Primary or Umbrella Committees with sub-committees. This was done to improve efficiency, communication and coordination. Each year a chair, or co-chairs, should be determined. Chair contact and committee meeting information should be updated on the CLI website or other CLI communication platform.

Subcommittees will provide meeting reports and requests to the Umbrella Committee, who in turn will provide summary reports and requests to the board.

Task Force: A group of CLI members organized for a defined term with one specific goal. A task force may be created by a Committee, or the Board, as needed.
